PRE-REHEARSAL

Turn On Sound-Board

Power switch on back of console + wait for console to power on fully

Sign into "ADMIN" profile, password: ctymsc + wait for sign in to be complete

bring up master + sub faders to unity

Select the appropriate option on the right side of the console: (Tracks COMP / Tracks iPAD)

Turn On Q-SYS pad

Navigate to the "AUDIO" page

Turn "ON" audio by selecting the green "ON" button

Navigate to the "COURTYARD" and "LOBBY" pages

Ensure any audio that should be going to lobby / courtyard is mixed correctly

Setting the mix

Ensure that all DCA groups (right side of board) are at unity level

Mix your individual faders (right side of board) to balance

SIGNAL FLOW

1. Microphone or Instrument input
2. Preamp Input Gain
3. Any Additional preamp model
4. Compressor Input Gain
5. Compressor Output Gain
6. EQ
7. Any effect insert

REHEARSAL

Vocal Levels

A "good" level to aim for is for the vocal to be coming in between -12 to -6db and not getting louder than that. If it goes louder than -6 we are at HIGH RISK of CLIPPING.

During Soundcheck monitor vocal INPUT GAIN levels to be coming in between -12 to -6db

AFTER input gain is set adjust the compressor's INPUT GAIN

Achieve a compression level of -4db

AFTER the compressor's input gain is set, adjust the compressor's OUTPUT GAIN

Utilize the compressor's output gain to regain the volume lost in compressing the vocal

Instrument Levels

POST-REHEARSAL

Media Soundcheck

If service director hasn't already checked audio for any in-service audio elements request for a soundcheck

Ensure that audio is coming through for any ProPresenter videos (countdown / testimony videos / etc.)

Ensure that audio is coming through for all Spotify signals

Ensure that audio is still being sent to the courtyard and lobby through Q-SYS

Soundcheck the HEADSET, SPEAKER, & VOX 6 mics

Production Meeting

Ensure that audio is down in the room, so we can communicate clearly

report to front of stage for production meeting at 8:00am

after production meeting, ensure that Pre-Service Spotify playlist is playing and audible in the room

report to position 5min before service to be ready for the swap to the countdown audio
